The Yale Social and Affective Neuroscience of Autism (SANA) Program (https://medicine.yale.edu/lab/chawarska/) is seeking an exceptional, motivated, and creative postdoctoral associate to be involved in prospective studies of infants with elevated likelihood for autism spectrum disorders (ASD) as well as toddlers with ASD. During the two-year postdoctoral program, the associate will be expected to lead and participate in the development and implementation of novel eye-tracking, MRI, fNIRS, and behavioral protocols targeting early markers of core and co-occurring features in autism.
The postdoctoral associate will work as part of the Yale Autism Center of Excellence (ACE) Program Project (ace.yale.edu) team at the Yale Child Study Center (CSC) led by Prof. Katarzyna Chawarska. The Yale NIH ACE Program Project represents a highly innovative and interdisciplinary joint effort across child psychiatry, pediatrics, radiology, and statistics and data science departments at Yale. The ACE project aims to identify prenatal and neonatal brain processes contributing to development of autism.
Priority application deadline is January 15, 2022 for an anticipated start date of July 2022. To be eligible for a postdoctoral appointment, candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent from a program in developmental, clinical, or cognitive psychology, computer science, neuroscience, or a related field.
