in the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at the University of California Los Angeles invites applicants interested in a Lab Manager/Research Assistant position beginning in spring or summer 2023. The position will involve responsibilities including recruiting and scheduling participants for research studies, data collection (MRI and behavioral), data analysis using FSL, SPM, and other software, administrative duties, IRB management, management of a participant database, and general management of laboratory operations. Spanish-English bilingual individuals with experience conducting neuroimaging studies of children with autism spectrum disorder are particularly encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will have completed an undergraduate degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field. The job requires exceptional organizational skills, high motivation and initiative, the ability to work effectively with children, and the ability to interact efficiently and courteously with other team members. Individuals with prior experience collecting and analyzing MRI data will be given preference. The position will provide multiple opportunities for authorship: all previous research assistants working in our lab have published first-author manuscripts during their time working with us.
