The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Research Center at the University of Kansas (KU) currently is seeking two new IDD research faculty members with expertise in behavioral genetics OR cognitive neuroscience. These open-rank tenure-track faculty positions are supported by a recently awarded $3M initiative that is focused on advancing IDD research at KU. Faculty hires will have multiple exciting opportunities to advance their programs of research through collaborations with internationally recognized IDD research faculty at KU and our partners at the KU Medical Center (KUMC) as well as our UCEDD, LEND, CTSA and autism centers. The goal of this investment is to expand KU’s international prominence in IDD research through new infrastructure investments and faculty hires in omics and data science, improving the already strong portfolio of basic, clinical, and applied IDD research within the Life Span Institute, Department of Psychology, KU, and the KUMC.
