DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY, OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY is inviting applications for an Open Rank, full-time, tenure track position in Clinical Psychology beginning August 2024, with an area of specialization in Child Clinical. Candidates must have received their doctoral degree from an APA or PCSAS accredited clinical psychology program and have completed an APA-approved (or equivalent) clinical psychology internship. Candidates will be expected to have a strong background in and dedication to scholarly activity, excellent teaching and mentoring, and to interact well with colleagues and students. They must also demonstrate the capacity to maintain a high-quality research program leading to scholarly productivity in the form of professional publications, presentations, and grantsmanship. Candidates will be expected to serve as a research mentor for doctoral students, to supervise undergraduate research, to teach from a multicultural perspective, and to provide quality classroom instruction for both graduate and undergraduate courses. Typical teaching load is two courses per semester and clinical supervision counts in this load, when assigned. Several current faculty maintain active research and training collaborations at both the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City and the OSU College of Medicine in Tulsa, offering opportunities for access to medical specialty populations and collaborations. The Department has 30 tenured/tenure-track full-time faculty and offers PhDs in both clinical and experimental psychology. The Clinical Program, continuously APA-accredited since 1971 and PCSAS-accredited since 2018, is based on a clinical science model of training. The experimental program has concentrations in Developmental, Comparative-Neurobiological, Cognitive, and Social-Personality psychology.
