Position description: The early neuroimaging, neuroimmune, and neuropsychology lab (early N3) is seeking a postdoctoral research fellow to support data analyses across several NIH funded projects related to the influence of prenatal exposures on early brain, cognitive, and emotion regulation development. The overarching goal of the lab is to identify early immune, brain, and neuropsychological antecedents of childhood psychiatric risk to reduce the time to intervention for young children. The fellow will support data analyses and the development of pipelines that integrate neuroimaging and physiological data. The fellow will also provide supervision to research staff to support ongoing data collection.
The Herbert H. and Ruth S. Reiner Post Doctoral Fellowship is funded through the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Behavioral Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. This two-year fellowship will be available on July 1, 2020. The department of psychiatry, as well as the larger medical school community provide extensive opportunity for clinical and research didactics, courses and seminars related to neuroimaging and biomedical sciences. Candidates must have a PhD or MD with good writing and analytical skills. Experience with data analyses of neuroimaging (e.g., anatomical mri, functional resting state) or physiologic data is required. The candidate should have good computational and data science skills. Programming abilities (e.g., matlab, python, C++, R, or Unix) is preferred. Stipends are at current NIH levels of support. U.S. and non-U.S. citizens are eligible to apply.
